Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your driver-guide and begin your journey to the Aberdare Ranges. You will arrive in time for lunch at the Aberdare The Ark Lodge, a unique tree-hotel overlooking a waterhole and salt lick that attracts elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy an evening game viewing experience right from the lodge’s decks as wildlife gathers to drink. Dinner and overnight will be at The Ark Lodge.

This six-day safari offers a diverse exploration of Kenya’s remarkable landscapes and wildlife. Beginning in the cool highlands of Aberdare National Park, you will experience unique forested habitats and spot wildlife from the iconic Ark Lodge. From there, you will travel to Lake Nakuru, famous for its rhino sanctuary and vibrant birdlife, before continuing to the scenic beauty of Lake Naivasha with its serene waters and lush surroundings. The journey culminates in the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the Big Five and some of the richest wildlife concentrations in Africa. This itinerary blends variety, comfort, and adventure for an unforgettable safari experience.
Itinerary Detail
After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive through the park, which is famous for its black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and seasonal flocks of flamingos. You may also spot lions, leopards, and buffaloes. Dinner and overnight will be at your Nakuru lodge
Following breakfast, you will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, driving through the Great Rift Valley and enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. You will arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, you will head out on your first Mara game drive, where you may encounter elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and big cats. Dinner and overnight will be in the Masai Mara.
After breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara on game drives. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the reserve to give you maximum time in the wild. The day will be devoted to searching for the Big Five, as well as other wildlife such as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and hippos along the Mara River. In the evening, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving for lunch at your lakeside lodge or resort. The afternoon can be spent at leisure or you may opt for an optional boat ride to spot hippos, cormorants, and fish eagles, as well as a guided walk on Crescent Island among giraffes and gazelles. Dinner and overnight will be in Naivasha.
After breakfast, you will check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for your international departure flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or drop-off at your Nairobi hotel.
