Itinerary Detail
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive towards Tsavo East National Park, the largest and one of the oldest parks in Kenya. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and later enjoy an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is renowned for its vast open plains, the striking Yatta Plateau (the world’s longest lava flow), and the iconic “red elephants” that dust themselves in the park’s reddish soil. Wildlife here includes lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and a wide variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay in Tsavo East.
Spend a full day exploring Tsavo East with morning and afternoon game drives. Visit highlights such as the Aruba Dam, a popular wildlife viewing spot where elephants, buffalo, and waterbirds gather. Keep your eyes open for cheetahs hunting on the plains, as well as hippos and crocodiles along the Galana River. The wide, open landscapes make this park excellent for game viewing and photography. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, head to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive to the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Naivasha by midday. After lunch, you may opt to enjoy a boat ride on the lake to spot hippos, fish eagles, and other birdlife. You may also opt to visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight stay in Naivasha.
After an early breakfast, drive to the world-famous Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier safari destination. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive across the vast savannahs. Look out for the “Big Five” and other wildlife in this rich ecosystem. Spend this day exploring the vast Masai Mara on a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Your guide will take you deep into the reserve, giving you the chance to spot the “Big Five” along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and large herds of herbivores across the rolling plains. The picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot inside the park, allowing you to enjoy the wilderness uninterrupted before continuing with your afternoon game drive. After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rhino sanctuary and rich birdlife. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Spot a lot of black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and an array of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay in Nakuru.
After breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive in Nakuru before departing for Nairobi. On arrival, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight or dropped at your preferred hotel.
