This 11-day safari takes you on an unforgettable journey through Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations, blending breathtaking scenery, rich biodiversity, and authentic cultural encounters. Starting in the vibrant capital city of Nairobi, you will venture to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to rhinos and chimpanzees, before continuing to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its birdlife and rhino sanctuary. The adventure then takes you to the legendary Masai Mara for thrilling game drives across endless savannahs, followed by a visit to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake teeming with birdlife and hippos. From there, you’ll head to Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, before concluding in the vast wilderness of Tsavo East, where open plains, red-dusted elephants, and the Yatta Plateau await. With expert guides, comfortable accommodations, and carefully designed experiences, this safari promises the very best of Kenya.

Itinerary Detail

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be warmly received by your driver-guide and transferred to your Nairobi hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax at the hotel or enjoy optional excursions such as visiting the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum. Dinner and overnight in Nairobi.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located on the Laikipia plains. Arrive in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, as well as the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. You’ll also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya. Dinner and overnight in Ol Pejeta.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive around the lake, famous for its rich birdlife and thriving populations of both black and white rhinos. You may also spot Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, and buffalo. Dinner and overnight in Nakuru.

After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous safari destination. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. The Mara is home to an incredible density of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and more. Dinner and overnight in the Mara.

Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara on a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. Your guide will take you deep into the reserve, giving you the chance to witness abundant wildlife in their natural habitat. With luck, you may spot the “Big Five” and other predators on the hunt. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha, a serene freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch, then you may opt to enjoy an afternoon boat ride to see hippos, fish eagles, and waterbirds. You may also visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight in Naivasha.

After breakfast, depart Naivasha and drive to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and later enjoy an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is world-famous for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight in Amboseli.

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Amboseli. Begin with an early morning drive for the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds gather. Continue exploring the park’s diverse habitats, from swamps to open plains, home to elephants, lions, buffalo, and abundant birdlife. You will carry picnic lunch, which will be enjoyed at a scenic spot inside the park, allowing you to maximize your game viewing without returning to the lodge. Later, proceed with an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest parks. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is famous for its vast open plains, red elephants, the Yatta Plateau, and the Galana River. Dinner and overnight in Tsavo East.

Spend the day exploring Tsavo East on a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. After a morning safari across the vast open plains, stop at a designated site to enjoy your picnic lunch surrounded by the wild. In the afternoon, continue with more game viewing, visiting highlights such as the Aruba Dam and Galana River. Look out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and a variety of bird species before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay

After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive as you exit Tsavo East and head back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight or to your Nairobi hotel.
