Itinerary
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a departure from Nairobi, driving north through the fertile central highlands with rolling tea and coffee plantations along the way. On clear days, the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya will be visible as you approach Nanyuki town, the gateway to Ol Pejeta. After approximately three and a half to four hours on the road, you will arrive at the conservancy and begin your morning game drive. This is the perfect opportunity to spot elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, and rhinos as they roam the vast plains.
A visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary will allow you to observe and learn about the rescue and rehabilitation of these remarkable primates, while the northern white rhino enclosure offers a rare chance to see and understand the efforts being made to save this critically endangered species.
By midday, you will break for lunch inside the park. Guests may enjoy a freshly prepared meal at one of the lodges within the conservancy, or a picnic in a designated site surrounded by the tranquility of nature, creating a perfect pause in your adventure.
In the afternoon, you will continue exploring different areas of the conservancy on another game drive, venturing through grasslands and acacia woodlands to encounter even more wildlife.
The landscape itself, framed by Mount Kenya, is a breathtaking highlight of the experience. Later in the afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening with unforgettable memories of a day immersed in conservation and wildlife.
